Homestead Meats is a woman-run farm that offers grass-fed beef and lamb. Homestead Meats produces grass-fed and grass-finished Hereford and Highland beef. Our cattle graze on lush alfalfa, clover and grass mix pastures during Wisconsin's growing season. This diversity in forage is like a perfectly cooked steak dinner for our cattle, they absolutely love it! Grass finished livestock produce lean, tender and nutrient rich beef that is just packed with flavor. As ruminants, cattle were perfectly designed for turning grass into beef, we like to call it their super power. Our cattle grow on a diverse palate of grasses and legumes and in return offer you the tastiest and healthiest beef in today's market. Beginning in 2018 our livestock will be harvested on the farm. We are grateful to have a state inspected mobile unit that allows us to harvest our animals in their natural environment.
