Hometown Harvest Food Cooperative's dream of becoming a full service grocery store and a source for local, natural and organic food become a reality on August 20th, 2013. We are located in downtown Mitchell a small town on the western edge of the Panhandle of Nebraska. Mitchell was once a thriving economically alive rural community and one of the primary goals of Hometown Harvest Food Cooperative in addition to providing local growers with an economically sustainable outlet for their products is to support the economic growth of Mitchell and to counteract the ever growing trend of the movement of people and resources from rural communities to urban centers. We provide a large variety of local seasonal produce, locally made grocery items, local honey, local egg, local meat and local crafts.
