Hollis Hills Farm was started in 2009 by Jim and Allison Lattanzi. Starting at the age of 10, Jim raised chickens. His first egg route consisted of eight or ten neighbors who purchased his bicycle delivered eggs for only one dollar per dozen. With 33 Barred Rock hens, there was alot of peddling for just a few dollars! For the past five or six years Jim has been making hay in the Lunenburg area, and with the support of then girlfriend took his passion for agriculture to the next level. Starting with a few cows purchased from a friend in Pepperell, the farm began to grow.
While making hay and rehabilitating some of the only available hay fields in Lunenburg, Jim discovered the need of local farmers for someone to have the knowledge and specialized equipment to provide bulk lime and spreading. This new business of bulk spreading became Hollis Hills Pasture Management. The combined business of hay, beef, eggs, and pork with the pasture management services allows the continued success and growth of the farm.
