Haulin' Hoof Farm

Haulin' Hoof Farm is a diversified organic family farm located in southeastern Ohio. Our farm is operated under the philosophy that everyone and everything on it plays an integral role in the overall health & well being of the whole. We manage a 50 acre woodlot, fiber sheep, Suffolk draft horses, and beautiful gardens. We home school our children and together love crafting beautiful, high-quality, natural items. Our creations arise mainly out of the fiber from our sheep and the wood we harvest, with our draft horses and other low-impact methods, on both our farm and neighboring lands. We nurture a good relationship with land stewards in our area to help them maintain their woods, making them healthy, productive, and resilient ecosystems that serves both humans and the natural world. Our sheep provide a soft face to kiss and lots of beautiful wool to spin, dye, knit, crochet, felt, and weave with. They're sheared each spring, the fleeces are washed on the farm, and sent to the mill to be either spun into yarn or made into roving. With the help of the sheep, we produce beautiful hand-dyed knitted and woven items from hats to blankets, and other wonderful creations. Our horses provide the farm with power for working in the fields and woods, lots of nutritious manure, and companionship. Along with the horses and the farm's woods, and a partnership with local land stewards, we're able to maintain a lovely diversity of Appalachian hardwoods that we turn into beautiful finished products from whole timber frame homes to smaller pieces of furniture & accessories.
