Jackson Regenerational Farm is located in Belmont Maine. We are a small multi- generational regenerative family farm. We are dedicated to bringing nutrient dense food to our local communities while building soil and diversity on our farm. We have visions for an eco- agricultural endeavor based on natural successions of annuals, perennials, poultry and livestock. We believe that animals need to have access to fresh air, grass, bugs and sunlight. Our chickens are sent to us as day old chicks and we keep them in a warm brooder until their feathers grow out. Then they head outside to pasture to eat bugs, grass and weeds along with the certified organic - soy free - non-gmo grain we provide. We need your support to heal the land and grow nutrient dense foods. Help us get this season started by pre-purchasing a share. Half share 10 chickens for $230 Full share 20 chickens for $450 These chickens average 5 lbs and come frozen with organs placed inside. In vacuum-packed bags and USDA inspected. Let us know if you would prefer them fresh or (for additional fee) cut up. Payment plans may be available. Dates will range from June through October. First come first serve - sign up when you want them. Save your bones! Whole chickens make amazing bone broth and this is a great way to stretch your food dollar even further! -Pickup at the farm or locally in Belfast anytime. Trips to the Portland area, the Boston area and Vermont will be scheduled once a month with delivery fee. -Just want a few birds? Give us a call and we can accommodate - birds are $25 each. -There will be add-ons available throughout the season. -Let us know if there's something specific you need. Our farm is not certified organic though we aim to hold ourselves to standards more arduous than the federal Organic Label. Jackson Regenerational Farm ONLY uses organic grain. We believe in treating animals humanely and we pledge to not use pesticides or herbicides. We will only use organic sources of fertilization when manure or compost is inappropriate. We seek to grow food for human consumption while generating thicker topsoil and greater bio-diversity on our farm. We encourage you to please visit us.
