HOSCO is a sustainable not for profit business incubator model for food production, entrepreneurship and apprenticeship training. Our mission is to significantly increase access of local foods, create jobs and economic development by revitalizing blighted and asset-poor neighborhoods in north Saint Louis, Missouri. This is done through establishing an innovative cooperative business strategy that leverages existing partnerships with formal and informal educational institutions, non profit and for profit businesses and individuals from our targeted communities to help establish a community-based local food system that is socially, economically and environmentally sustainable and also provides training, placement and profitability to empower communities toward self-sufficiency.
