Primal Roots Farms

Primal Roots is a newly relocated farm in south west lower Michigan. The farm existed previously as Mooberry Farms in northern Indiana. We have moved to Michigan's fruit belt and are ready to be a resource for anyone in the region who is looking for clean, healthy and humanely raised meats. We offer all grass fed beef, pasture raised pork and chicken which we supplement with non gmo feed from an Amish feedmill, and spring of 2018 we will have real free range eggs. Our practices try to stay as close as possible to the way the animals live in nature. We practice pasture rotation for the cattle, the pigs and our broiler chickens. Our egg laying chickens are integrated into our pastures where they forage for insects and worms, while acting as our bug control. We are biodiverse and respect the micro biome on our farm, so we don't use any herbicides, pesticides or industrial chemicals. We are (beyond) organic, we simply don't participate in the government run organic certification products. You can find our products in a few select restaurants, health food stores, and local outlets listed on our website. We are currently doing some drops of preordered products to families such as your own in the Chicago region, as well as South Haven and a few other locations. True pasture raised meats are very different from what you will find in almost every store; when the animals are eating green, deep rooted pasture plants they put on more omega 3 fats instead of omega 6 fats.
