From our small family farm, we are proud to offer farm-fresh pastured eggs from our free-range girls who roam our 3 1/2 acre orchard to forage from sun up to sun down everyday. Lots of fresh air and sunshine, year-round, courtesy of Mother Nature, except during snow storms when most prefer to stay in their cozy coops bickering at each other.
The ladies and their gentlemen; Gregory Peck, Roopert, Foghorn, and OhNo have a safe and clean living environment in their predator-proof coops: hardware wire cloth above ground around the coops exterior and also buried underground around the perimeters to prevent any predators from digging underneath to access.
Our philosophy is the happier and healthier the chicken, the healthier the eggs and the more delicious! They lay a beautiful assortment of white, green, blue, brown, light pink, and olive colored eggs.
The girls even have their own garden of nutritious goodies and greens on which to munch and enjoy. They love their healthy treats of meal worms, berries, black oil sunflower seeds, and sprouts. In the summer, they have their own sunflower garden where they bask under shade of the sunflower canopy and enjoy the seeds we harvest throughout the fall and winter.
No GMOs, hormones, or antibiotics. No glyphosate ever used in our orchard. We boost the chickens immune systems with oregano, basil, garlic, brewers yeast, alfalfa, calendula, and kelp. This in turn increases the nutrient content of the eggs. A difference you can taste!
$4.00/dozen for unwashed eggs. Cash only, Pick-up only.
Eggs are unwashed to leave the bloom intact.
(The bloom is the protective layer that seals each egg to prevent bacteria from entering the egg).
Conventional eggs at the grocery store can be up to two months old at the time of purchase and unfortunately the chickens do not typically live as nature intended.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of the eggs, once we are contacted and find out how many eggs a customer wants, we assign a pull date on our tracking calendar and will contact the customer when the eggs have been collected, cartoned, and are available for pick up. We take pride in providing each customer with the freshest eggs possible.
