Why "Painted Lady?" Choose your favorite answer:
I dig butterflies and the Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui) is one of my faves (and a frequent visitor to the flower fields!)
I studied art and have worked a fair share of canvases. Painted, past tense. Now I paint with flowers.
My favorite piece of artwork that hangs in our home depicts a painted lady undergoing a restoration project. I get that, I truly do.
I don't do makeup. I own the same kit that painted me on my wedding day 20 years ago. So it's a joke on me. And I don't have tattoos. Yet. But if I did, they'd be killer.
I really like the off-color, immodest tone. Flowers are sexy. 'Nuff said.
