A CSA is an economical way for people to have a mutually beneficial relationship with a farmer. Participants buy shares in the farmer's harvest before the season starts. In return, participants receive a weekly basket of fresh produce in season.

You and your family will experience the joys of eating fresh, healthy food, as well as the experience of being connected to a farm. In addition to a weekly basket, you will receive a seasonal newsletter containing recipes, photos, and stories from the field. Each week brings new food surprises, creating awareness about eating with the seasons. Because we can pick produce varieties purely for their flavor, without concern for shipping, you will be amazed at how good it tastes!

You can also feel good about eating this way; it can be a lot cheaper, and better for the environment. For example, an urban CSA in San Francisco says that "For each family we grow for we are preventing carbon emissions equal to approximately 11,000 lbs of C02 per year, the equivalent of taking one car off the road!"
