CSA: Lake Breeze Organics

We invite you to join us for our ninth year of Community Supported Agriculture. Our certified organic CSA produce share is comprised of a wide variety of specialty vegetables, herbs, and fruits. Each year we grow at least 50 varieties of heirloom tomatoes, a long list of hard to find gourmet greens, high quality herbs, and specialty vegetable crops from around the world. Along with all the specialty crops you can also expect the staples such as potatoes, carrots, broccoli, onions, garlic, and many more. Organic fruits such as blueberries, strawberries, apples, Asian pears, and cherries are included. During the 2015 season we were able to provide organic fruit in over 90% of the weekly shares.

Lake Breeze Organics CSA shares are delivered mid-week from June through September at a location near you. Shares come in two sizes, full and half. Half shares are a full produce package delivered every other week and are usually adequate for one or two people. Full shares serve three to four eaters.

Each week members will receive an email with a description of the weekly package and recommended recipes. Listed below are a few examples of boxes that we provided previously.

Week 1 - Asparagus, strawberries, garlic, basil, arugula, Red Russian kale, curly kale, rhubarb, and salad greens mix

Week 3 - Rhubarb, strawberries, apple mint, sugar snap peas, Red Ursa kale, baby zucchini, green onions, and heirloom lettuce heads

Week 6 - Blueberries, Butterball potatoes, curly kale, French Breakfast radish, Red Russian kale, Indian cucumbers, dill, and Elephant garlic

Week 9 - Fairy tale eggplant, Rainbow swiss chard, sweet corn, Cippolini sweet onions, baby collards, blueberries, potatoes, and kale

Week 12 - Heirloom tomatoes, toscano kale, yellow onions, mizuna, heirloom cherry tomato mix, arugula, salad mix, and Italian zucchini

Week 15 - Sweet pepper mix, potatoes, gourmet eggplant, heirloom tomatoes, strawberries, toscano kale, and onions

Week 17 - Arugula, Italian roasting peppers, Japanese eggplant, curly kale, Italian green beans, French fingerling potoatoes, rosemary, apple cider, salad mix/braising mix and mizuna

We also offer egg shares as an addition to your produce share.
