We are a small farm in Gaston Oregon. We breed a small number of registered barbados blackbelly sheep. These are a rare heritage breed sheep that are incredibly easy keepers. They are extremely parasite resistant, require no shearing (they shed in the spring) and are great for keeping down the blackberries. They do not challenge fences (or jump over them) like goats. My flock are very friendly and that is what we breed for. They breed throughout the year, generally in the spring and fall. They are also an incredibly tasty sheep!
