Offering fresh, naturally grown lamb products as well as Heritage Breed Large Black Hogs
Our lambs are born right here at our farm and raised naturally on mother's milk, pasture, and hay. They are given minimal grain with no added antibiotics or steroids. Free range and free roaming helps make these animals lean, fit and naturally healthy. Grassfed lambs have the mildest, tenderest, most succulent meat of all lamb. Naturally raised lamb is more complex in flavor and typically higher in Omega-3 fatty acids and lower in fat.
Lambs are marketed at 6 -10 months of age at a dressed weight of 50 - 65 pounds. The cut and wrapped weight for a whole lamb averages 25-40 pounds, depending on the cuts chosen.
We also raise heritage breed Large Black pigs on pasture. Perhaps the most important thing about Large Blacks is their pedigree. These are heritage hogs. They retain the traits of their ancestors that lived on the pastures and woods of England in the 16th and 17th centuries. They are hardy animals able to handle the cold and heat. They can effectively convert pasture and goodies found in your woods into nutrition. Great mothering ability; good sized litters; longevity. Despite their large size they are well known as very docile hogs. Their dark coloring makes them more resistant to sunburn. And their pork might be the best available; micromarbled and deliciously Old World flavor.
