Live Oak Natural Beef is raised on our family farm located on Mustang creek in Central Texas. We take pride in raising all natural, pastured beef. NO hormones, NO antibiotics, NO growth stimulants, NO additives, NO animal by products, NO pesticides or herbicides are used at our farm. Our COMPETITIVE PRICES offer great value for high-quality beef! Free range Angus cross cattle graze in pastures planted in grass/legume mixes. The calves are given very limited grain feeding only during poor range conditions. The feed is homemade and is comprised of alfalfa, oats (both homegrown) and molasses. Our beef is tender, moist, delicious and nutritious! Why buy grass-fed?? Meat from a grass-fed steer has about the same amount of total fat as a chicken breast, but more heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids and CLA and LESS cholesterol.* Our competitive bulk prices give your family great value for high quality natural, grass-fed beef (you can't buy beef like this in the grocery store!). Our bulk prices allow you to feed your family delicious steaks and roasts FOR THE PRICE OF HAMBURGER. This is a great way to stretch your family food budget while supplying excellent grass-fed nutrition. PRICES: September 2013 - $2.25 per pound live weight (approximately 850 to 900 pounds) You pay for your own processing (at Hamilton Quality Meats) - approx. .65 per pound - hanging weight Your yield should be greater than 40%. You should receive 360 to 380 pounds of packaged meat - total cost is around $6.62 per pound of packaged meat - this is a good value for grass fed hamburger, roasts and steaks. Our next steers will be ready to process in May 2014. Please reserve your steer now by paying a $200 deposit.
