Local Food Production Initiative

The Local Food Production Initiative was formed in 2008 to promote local food production in the Fairhope, AL area and to encourage the preservation of agricultural land in Baldwin County, AL. LFPI's immediate goals are: (1) To establish community gardens in Fairhope; (2) To support Fairhope's Farmers Market; (3) To promote the preservation of agricultural land in Baldwin County, AL; (4) To provide education about the benefits of and opportunities for local food production; and (5) To encourage home gardening and support of CSAs. LFPI is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
