Our Freedom Rangers are a great alternative to the fast-maturing white broiler chicks, dressing out at around 4-7 lbs. in 9-11 weeks. The birds thrive on our pastured fields and follow the cattle, which allow them to ingest shortened, fresh and tender grass. As a result of their healthy diet and environment, our chickens are less prone to contracting diseases and are never treated with antibiotics. The birds are housed in floorless, portable "chicken tractors" inspired by Joel Salatin that protect them from predators and are moved daily to a fresh patch of paddock.
