CSA: Longview Farm and Market

CSA Share Information All produce is grown at Longview Farm in Collegeville. The season lasts 24 weeks, from approximately May until mid-October. Every week you will receive a share of just-harvested, seasonal produce. Produce items will vary according to seasonal availability and will total approximately10 items per week for a Full Share, or half share - 6 items per week for a Medium Share. In addition, 2-3 You-Pick items such as vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers are included in your share most weeks.

One full share should be enough for a family of four, or enough for two hearty vegetable eaters. Our members tell us that participating in a CSA increased both the quantity of vegetables they eat and how often they cook and eat at home. Because the produce is picked within 24 hours of receiving your share, it is extremely fresh and will last several weeks, if stored properly.

We offer pick up on Tuesdays and Saturdays at Longview Farm Market. We have pickup locations in Ardmore, Berwyn, Conshohocken, Media and Swarthmore. In addition we offer a direct Farm-to-Office program.

A note about shared risk: In true partnership, CSA members share the risks of agriculture with farmers, ensuring that even in the event of unforeseen circumstances, farmers livelihood will be secure. Such risks are minimized through smart growing, including through the planting of a diversity of crops that are resilient to a range of conditions. In the spirit of our commitment to the traditions of CSAs and food co-ops, your membership shows we are all-farmer and consumer-connected.
