Meats from Lowland Farm have the full flavor and healthfulness of beef raised exclusively on grass and of pork raised on feed and the fruits of their foraging in open pasture and forest. Lowland Farm practices high-density rotational grazing - moving the cows daily - in order to raise cattle naturally and maximize the health of the cows and the land. Pigs live in woods adjacent to pasture where they can forage, root, and indulge in all the activities that pigs naturally enjoy. Cattle breeds are Devon, Angus, and Hereford crosses and pigs are pure-bred Berkshires; all breeds are selected for their capacity to thrive naturally and, of course, for their flavor. Not crowded into feedlots, Lowland Farm animal do not need, nor receive, antibiotics. They grow naturally, free of growth-promoting hormones.
