Mad Horse Meats is a family-owned regenerative livestock farm on 250 acres in Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey, situated near the Delaware Bay in Salem County. We are owned and operated by Morgan and Jennifer Dawkins — both graduates of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine — along with our son Trevor, who manages daily farm operations.
We raise Hereford-Angus beef cattle, Cheviot-cross lambs, Berkshire heritage pigs, and pasture-raised chickens on rotating pasture using low-stress handling techniques with our border collies. No added growth hormones. No feedlots. Antibiotics only when an animal medically requires them. Our rotational grazing system is designed to improve soil health and leave the land better than we found it.
Currently available: pasture-raised beef, lamb, farm-fresh eggs, and raw wildflower honey harvested from hives on the property. Pasture-raised chicken coming spring 2026 and Berkshire heritage pork coming fall 2026.
We sell online with nationwide shipping at madhorsemeats.com, with free shipping on orders over $150. Farm-fresh eggs and honey are available daily at our farmstand at 325 Alloway Creek Neck Rd. Meat orders are available for on-farm pickup by appointment. Farm visits are also welcome by appointment.
We believe the way an animal lives shows up in the flavor — and we can back that up with the science and the veterinary background to match.
