The Eastern Iowa Bird Breeders club is sponsoring a exotic bird and animal swap. This is the first Swap meet is at the Jackson County fairgrounds in Maquoketa. The fairground are on the east end of Maquoketa north of Hwy 64. Address for the fairgrounds is 1212 E. Quarry Street, Maquoketa IA. People can sell various types of animals and birds. Types of birds and animals that might be there are small caged birds, waterfowl, ferrets, mice, guinea pigs, pheasants, quail, ferrets, puppies, kittens, goats, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and peafowl etc�¢?�¦ Only the New Horizon 4H club may sell food and drink items. All animals have to meet Iowa State regulations and all poultry including waterfowl should be tested 90 days before swap. A licensed veterinarian and Certified Pullorum tester will be on site. We will be having another swap in the fall September 19, 2009
