Shabazz Garden & Market on Malcolm X Avenue

The Shabazz Garden and Market on Malcolm X Avenue is located at the Malcolm X Memorial Birthplace which rests in the heart of a culturally and historically rich neighborhood in North Omaha. The garden is an "urban farming" experience. The Garden is seeking organic certification and we are committed to following NOP rules and NOFA Farmer's Pledge. Our garden is organized and farmed by our local community members and we invite and encourage members of our community join in and or to inspect our growing practices at any time. The market is in its genesis and is one of several market destinations being initiated for the purpose of providing better access to fresh local produce to the North Omaha community.
