The land is certified organic by ONECERT, and the cattle are Angus bred, grass finished, free of hormones or antibiotics. I have split quarters, halves and wholes, as well as individual cuts for sale. Another option is customers may purchase live calves or yearlings, and finish themselves.
I maintain a "closed" herd. Bulls are selected specifically to enhance meat tenderness; they are of medium frame. Cattle born on the farm are raised until ready for processing or sold live. My cattle are never confined. They're fed organic grass legume pasture, hay and silage. Cattle are handled with low stress to maintain tender meat.

A whole beef runs between 365-425 lbs of cut/wrapped for approx. $2,300-$2,600 which includes processing costs. (total weight and cost depends on the size of the animal.)
For a split quarter, figure 1/4 of approx $2,300-$2,600 of the 365-425 lbs of meat - for an approximate cost and pounds of meat. A split quarter has cuts from the front and rear of the beef. Customer can have meat cut and wrapped to meet their personal preference.
