Mission Statement: To produce meats for family, friends and customers, protecting their health by providing grassfed organic meats with heart healthy CLA and Omega3 fats, in the way that nature intended.
The land is certified organic by ONECERT, and the cattle are Angus bred, grass finished, free of hormones or antibiotics. I have split quarters, halves and wholes, as well as individual cuts for sale. Another option is customers may purchase live calves or yearlings, and finish themselves.
I maintain a "closed" herd. Bulls are selected specifically to enhance meat tenderness; they are of medium frame. Cattle born on the farm are raised until ready for processing or sold live. My cattle are never confined. They're fed organic grass legume pasture, hay and silage. Cattle are handled with low stress to maintain tender meat.
