I raise critically endangered, Gulf Coast Native sheep for fleece and breeding stock. I do not choose to sell my sheep for meat consumption, as my goal is to help preserve and restore the breed by raising breeding stock, and thru promoting the value of their wool to hand-spinners. The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy has Gulf Coast Native sheep 2nd to the very top of their endangered list for sheep.
I have also begun a small sheep shearing enterprise, which sometimes provides me with plenty of extra wool, including Gulf Coast Native and a few other breeds, to sell to hand-spinners and other craftspeople.
