I raise critically endangered, Gulf Coast Native sheep for fleece and breeding stock. I do not choose to sell my sheep for meat consumption, as my goal is to help preserve and restore the breed by raising breeding stock, and thru promoting the value of their wool to hand-spinners. The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy has Gulf Coast Native sheep 2nd to the very top of their endangered list for sheep. I have also begun a small sheep shearing enterprise, which sometimes provides me with plenty of extra wool, including Gulf Coast Native and a few other breeds, to sell to hand-spinners and other craftspeople.

Schedule and Location:
I sell raw wool for hand-spinners thru online stores. I also sell thru email and phone contacts. Sometimes, people who live nearby come to the house to look at wool and pick it up in person. I begin shearing in April each year, and continue shearing for others for as long as I can book appointments.

I sell breeding stock to other Gulf Coast Native shepherds, and to new shepherds who are seriously interested in wool production and breed conservation. I have a very limited supply of lambs easy year, and I hand pick my breeding stock customers very carefully, after getting to know their shepherding goals.
