Tolar Farm is a grass/pasture based cattle, goat and pork operation. Cattle are Angus X simmental. Our cows calve primarily from Jan to March with a few in Sept. and Oct. Beef is sold as whole or halves from Jan to April. This springs calves have been weaned and started on feed. We have ten for sale at this point. Some will be ready in Dec. thanks to being blessed with rain this summer. It's not too early to get on the list for this year. We will try to have some all grass fed steers for next spring if anyone is interested. Calves are usually one year of age, so they are tender yet relatively lean. Beef calves are grazed on cool season grasses from weaning to market time with some grain depending on weather and availability of grass. Goats are used to eat excess grass and shrubs left by cattle. They are available most of the year. Pork is pastured and available in the fall and winter. Feel free to contact for more information. Pure cane syrup is made in November to December. Sold by pint, quart or 3 pint jugs.
