Welcome to Home Sweet Orchard - a home school-family owned and run, "better than organic" farm! From early August through late November, we offer eight varieties of apples to be purchased at local farmers markets and our roadside stand. Our specialty is freshly pressed apple cider & (100% Apple Syrup) through out the year! Using our own commercial grade apple press, we have the capacity to press not only our own apples, but also those of other local orchards or individuals. Along with our apples, we have two varieties of sweet cherries: one black (comparable to Bing cherries), and the other bright red, available mid-late July. Adding a quaint touch to any farm are its animals, and ours is no exception. We raise "orchard range" meat chickens, keeping them safe from harmful chemicals. Orders placed in advance in March and April can be supplied by July - fresh or frozen. You may also call to request some farm-fresh eggs! Icelandic sheep graze in the field, providing meat and wool. Meat is available in the fall, upon request, and wool in the fall and spring. Of course, no farm would be complete without its vegetables! A plentiful supply of asparagus is available in the spring, and potatoes from late summer to fall. Other produce availability is dependent on weather. For more information, please give us a ring!
