Meadow Haven Farm

Meadow Haven Farm was started by Allan and Jeanne Sexton. Allan, a retired holistic veterinarian who has a life-long interest in nutrition and health, decided the only way to really produce good healthy food for their five children and now fourteen grandchildren was to produce it himself. Allan and Jeanne searched for the best farmland they could find for their idea of an organic farm that would raise grass-fed, grass-finished beef, free-range chickens, turkeys, hogs and eggs, as well as Allan's large garden and orchard. he found it in Bureau County, Illinois, about two hours west of Chicago. Jeremy and Cherie House joined them a few years after. Jeremy farmed and ran a dairy with his father, and Cherie was a junior high school physical education teacher and coach before having three children and "retiring" to the farm to help raise all the pastured poultry.. We are all committed to the idea of food that is highly nutritious, rich in minerals, vitamins and other nutrients. We are constantly working to enhance and re-mineralize the soils that feed the plants that feed the animals that feed you, the consumer. On our certified organic pastures, we raise natural and certified organic 100% grass-fed beef, free-range chicken and turkeys raised on certified organic pastures and certified organic pastured pork and eggs.
