Kookoolan Farms LTD

We fill your home freezer with 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef and lamb; pastured/forested Berkshire heritage pork; sustainably-wild-caught and preservative-free fish and seafood; and organic-fed pastured poultry (chickens, ducks, turkeys). Kookoolan Farms was established in October 2005. We follow many organic and biodynamic practices but are not certified. Even our compost is self-produced from our own cows and chickens -- we are one of very few organically-run farms that DOES NOT buy composted animal manure from confinement feedlot operations.

Kookoolan Farms is not available at any farmer's markets, buying clubs, groceries or restaurants. We do not ship, and we do not offer online sales (well ... yet. Coming in 2022!). Beef and lamb shares may be picked up at our farm in Yamhill, or directly at our processor, The Meating Place in Hillsboro. Everything else we offer is available only directly from us for pickup at our farmstore in Yamhill.

Walk-in customers are welcome! Our retail farmstore is open daily 9am to 6pm except closed Mondays. Retail cuts of our beef, pork, lamb, seafood, and poultry; local and imported cheese and charcuterie; local raw honey; wines; so much more.

We butcher our chickens and other poultry right on our farm in our own licensed and inspected on-farm processing plant.

We sell 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef by the half, quarter, eighth or sixteenth, as well as retail cuts in our farmstore. We sell 100% grass-fed and grass-finished lamb by the whole or half, as well as retail cuts in our farmstore. We sell pastured pork by the quarter or half. Our retail farmstore is open daily, 9:00am to about 6:00pm, except closed Mondays. Yes we have a public restroom, if you don't know where it is just ask us!

We also produce Mead (honeywine) and estate-grown pinot noir. New release of our flagship mead "Elegance" coming Thanksgiving 2021!

Directions: Our farm is about 45 minutes southwest of Portland, Oregon, right on Highway 47, half-mile south of Yamhill, and two-and-a-half miles north of Carlton.
