We are a small family farm located 30 minutes north of Orlando.
Our pigs are raised in a naturally healthy, low stress environment. They are a special cross of heritage breeds. The Birkshire and Duroc cross produces a vigorous, naturally healthy pig and a wonderful pork product. Their diet consists of acorns, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. With access to 20 acres of pasture and forest, the pigs spend most of their days exploring or just napping under the trees.
Our pigs are not genetically modified. Use of pharmaceuticals is limited to critical situations. There is no exposure to growth hormones, artificial agents or other "strategies" to artifically boost production.
Since this is a closed herd, these animals spend their entire lives without the stress of a mass production operation. Most our animals are born and breed here. Monroe Farms is certified as Animal Welfare Approved and offers both retail and wholesale USDA certified meat packages.
Our use of natural production techniques (making baby pigs the old fashioned way!) yields an awsome pork product. Please call or email to inquire about the availability.
We also have a limited supply of Black Angus grass fed beef.
Orders are taken on a reservation basis only.
We offer pork and beef products to both retail and wholesale customers

I grew up in Wisconsin and my folks always kept a steer in the freezer. Dad never did the grain finish so we had natural grass feed beef and it was wonderful.
Once I move to Florida, I was so disappointed the grass feed beef.
Then I got beef from this farm? and it is awesome!
I have been buying local products for years. This is one of the few farms I have visited that clearly understands what clean healthy food is about.
After spending almost 2 hours on the farm tour, I realized that these guys do it just like I would (If I had land).... [more]
Some of the healthiest livestock we've ever seen. The pigs and cattle follow the farmer around like pups and are fed acorns and berries. Lots of happy chickens who co-exist with the pigs, who protect them from predators. Such a lovely farm! Oh, the eggs and pork are wonderful!
