Monroe Ashby Farms

We are a small family farm located 30 minutes north of Orlando. Our pigs are raised in a naturally healthy, low stress environment. They are a special cross of heritage breeds. The Birkshire and Duroc cross produces a vigorous, naturally healthy pig and a wonderful pork product. Their diet consists of acorns, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. With access to 20 acres of pasture and forest, the pigs spend most of their days exploring or just napping under the trees. Our pigs are not genetically modified. Use of pharmaceuticals is limited to critical situations. There is no exposure to growth hormones, artificial agents or other "strategies" to artifically boost production. Since this is a closed herd, these animals spend their entire lives without the stress of a mass production operation. Most our animals are born and breed here. Monroe Farms is certified as Animal Welfare Approved and offers both retail and wholesale USDA certified meat packages. Our use of natural production techniques (making baby pigs the old fashioned way!) yields an awsome pork product. Please call or email to inquire about the availability.
