Grace Meadows Farm

We are a small hobby farm raising pastured chickens. We raise happy chickens that are allowed to forage, scratch and mature naturally, protected from the elements in an open bottomed shelter that moves to fresh grass every day. The chickens are protected from predators by a very large electronic netting moved daily, so they can free range in safety, or lounge in the shade. We believe that it's very important to work with nature, not against it. Our chickens are not vaccinated or given antibiotics or medicines of any kind. We believe that the actions we take now will affect future generations and that we should all live in harmony with nature and each other. We decided to raise chicken because we wanted to produce the highest quality food possible for ourselves and our family and friends. Large, commercial chicken producers are notorious for their poor treatment of birds and their need for profit causes them to confine the birds in very crowded, dark poultry housing. The chickens are not able to move around and are only fed commercial feeds with dangerous additives, chemicals and hormones. Their only goal is to produce meat for profits. We believe that livestock should be raised in low stress surroundings and should be allowed to grow in a natural environment. We love our chickens and they reward us with healthy, clean, delicious meat and yummy eggs.
