Morgan Creek Vineyards, established in 1993, enjoyed its first vintage season and the opening of Minnesota's only underground winery the fall of 1998. The earth shelter provides perfect cellar temperature for wine production and aging, and creates an inviting atmosphere for tasting room and gift shop visitors. Specializing in growing & producing fine wines from German, French and American grapes (including cold-hardy MN varietals). Location between Mankato & New Ulm off of Hwy 68 & Junction 47. Morgan Creek Vineyards is in process of transitioning its estate acrage to the biodynamic system and intends to release a line of biodynamic wines.
The winery currently contracts with Minnesota grape growers for wine grapes and is interested in obtaining the highest quality grapes for their present Minnesota wines.
The winery also provides european style hospitality with traditional wood fired flat breads and gourmet pizzette served in a beautiful outdoor vineyard setting.
