At Morning Mist Farms we raise 100% Grass Fed and Finished Lamb. We are passionate about what we do and we are committed to using humane and environmentally sound production practices. Our practices are centuries old and lead to the highest standard for flavor and freshness. We care about our animals and we provide a healthy, comfortable existence that results in wholesome, natural products. We raise a special breed of lambs called Katahdins. Katahdin lamb has a smooth, mild flavor that appeals to those who don't like a strong "gamey" taste, but never disappoints the true lover of lamb. Katahdin lamb also tends to be leaner than other breeds of lamb. This particular breed is the only sheep bred in North America specifically for producing the highest quality meat in our environment. You will not find this at the grocery store or from any farmer that has to shear his sheep. Katahdins shed their winter coat on their own and are not wool producers. This helps the meat to be much milder.
