Deer Springs Ranch (see www.deersprings.net please) was established in 1968 on an old 1880's farm. I have always been committed to a diversified, chemical-free, natural environment and although have changed products over time, my main concerns remain firm. Along with a 50 year history of sheep and goats, when we added the Gloucestershire Old Spots to our farm I wanted a breed that was docile, easy to maintain and flourished in a pasture environment and they have exceeded that expectation. Several years ago son Mitchell added a 300+ Heirloom apple orchard consisting of an excellent variety of English and American cider apples. It is now coming into production and for the past few years, he has been making cider and outstanding apple juice!
