The Farmette

Sustainably Raised. Rotationally grazed. I (Kate) began my farm with a small laying flock of hens, 10 pigs, rabbits, and sheep. After moving to Dansville a year later, me and my fiance Bryan have been expanding our farm and family every since! We have a son who will turn two in June, and are expecting our second child the end of March, 2019. I have modeled much of what we do after Polyface Farm in Swoope, VA, a "beyond organic" farm using regenerative farming practices that benefit the animals, the environment, the farmer, and ultimately the consumer... that's you! Our animals are seasonally pastured from May to November. They thrive in a natural environment where they get to enjoy grass, sunshine and fresh air. This allows us to provide high quality, delicious meat to our customers! Our animals are never given any hormones, steroids or unnecessary antibiotics. By rotating our animals on pasture it reduces their dependence on supplemental feed while allowing them to exhibit their natural behaviors. This reduces our carbon footprint, sequesters carbon and builds soil and water health. We raise pastured pork, chickens, rabbits,ducks and 100% grass fed lamb. We also offer pastured, free range eggs who follow Bryan's herd of cattle at Acomb Acres. Our products are available year round and you can browse them as well as order from our website.
