We are a small scale family owned and operated truck farm. We have been selling our home grown fruit and vegetables at local farm markets since 1990. We purchased our Heartnut trees, Juglans Ailantifolia, from an Oregon nursery in 1990. They began producing in 1995, and continue to produce bountiful crops each year. Several of the nuts were planted and now we have over 20 trees. Heartnuts sell at $10.00 per pound plus shipping or 10 pound for $50.00 with free shipping

Heartnuts are a beautiful variety of the Japanese walnut. They are tasty, high in fiber, antioxidants and proteins. We harvest the Heartnuts in October when they fall from the trees. They must then dry until the thick protective husk falls off.

The versatile nutmeats can be eaten raw or used in cooking and baking. They have the pleasing taste of a mild, sweet walnut.

The heartnuts beautiful shells are great for arts and crafts or ornaments, especially for Valentines Day.
