Forest Mushrooms is located just off I-94 south of St. John's University in Collegeville. We have been growing Oyster and Shiitake Mushrooms since 1985, and we also stock many other varieties of cultivated and wild-harvested mushrooms. Our inventory includes fresh, dried and frozen mushroom products. Kevin Doyle is a Minnesota-certified Wild Mushroom Expert and is licensed to handle wild-harvested mushrooms. Our primary business is mushroom cultivation and wholesale distribution of mushrooms to Midwest jobbers and wholesale grocers. We do limited direct farm sales with advance arrangements. We can also custom-pack mixed varieties or gift baskets for you. Our products are available fresh year-round, but please call one day ahead before visiting. Sorry, no tours are offered, but check our website for a virtual farm tour! Office hours for calling are Monday - Friday 8am-3pm, year-round. We also sell our spent straw-based mushroom-growing compost to the public all year at a very economical price, for use as mulch on gardens.
