The Lovely Janet is a small family-run business currently selling indoor and greenhouse-grown bedding plants in 2 and 4 inch pots, and "windowsill" and 8" round planters. A sunroom, two hoop houses and 2 garden fields allow us to expand to offerings of field-grown heirloom produce and herbs. Two aquaponic ponds hold our lovely koi fish, whose whose water circulates to propagate plant cuttings. We hope in the near future our Nigerian Dwarf goats, Marie and Vamp, will provide milk for cheeses and other products. We offer heirloom tomatoes, heirloom hot and sweet pepper varieties, culinary and medicinal herbs, and flowering plants. Our newest offerings include 6 flavors of peppermint, 4 varieties of scented geranium (pelargonium) and patchouli plants. All are naturally grown. Throughout the fall and winter, we will continue to offer container-sized pepper plants, mints, herbs, geraniums and patchouli plants. We are members of several seedsaver groups and are especially interested in preserving Native American traditional foods and medicines.
