Northwest Local Meats is the Retail outlet for Island Grown Farmers Co-op. ( IGFC)
The IGFC has been in business for over twenty years. A Mobile Slaughter Unit (MSU) will travel to the farm to harvest the animals.
The pandemic brought about changes for all of us. IGFC applied for and received Grants from the USDA and we built a beautiful new processing plant in Burlington Washington.
At the retail store, we have a variety of meat. Beef, pork, lamb, and goat. we offer a few different kinds of sausage. Sweet Italian, Hot Italian, Bratwurst, Merguez, Breakfast and Chorizo. We only sell locally grown meat from our co-op members who are the farmers. We also carry a few value added items. Three Sister Family Farms is one of our members who has pepperoni sticks and 100% beef franks. Both are very good.
