Here at Oak Leaf Dairy we put care and attention into every aspect of our farm. Our family takes great pride in running the dairy and creating farmstead cheeses, caramel, and soap that are always handcrafted. Our lovely goats are our pride and joy, each doe is a lady and given the very best care. We have a milking herd of more than 100 goats which has made Oak Leaf Dairy the largest goat dairy in Connecticut. Our herd comprises of Saanen, Alpine, LaMancha, Toggenburg, and Oberhasli goats which graze on over 15 acres of pasture. Our lovely goats produce more than 700 gallons of milk a week at peak season. We also make our own hay to feed our goats and all of our pastures and fields are herbicide and insecticide free. With the support and help of our family and friends; as well as fantastic customers Oak Leaf Dairy is growing more successful by the day!
Chevre & Feta
Our creamy goat milk chevre is a versatile cheese that can be used as an appetizer on a cracker or as an ingredient in your favorite recipe! Our cherve comes plain as well as flavored with chives or sundried tomato and garlic. Our feta is perfect for topping a salad or pizza! The creaminess our goat milk feta makes it great for eating alone as well!
Caramel
Our goat milk caramel is sure to be a crowd pleaser! Our caramel has a deep, rich flavor that is enhanced with just a touch of cinnamon. The caramel is wonderful on popcorn, ice cream, and fruit.
Soap
Our soap is handmade in small batches and each contains 25% goat milk. Soap made with goat milk is moisturizing and naturally protein rich, which makes it wonderful for delicate complexions. It has proven beneficial for people with eczema, psoriasis, and acne. We use olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, goat milk, essential oils, and fragrances.
