Long Grey Line Farm

We are a natural farm and have not used herbicides for 49 years. We use our own manure to nourish the fields. Our Belted Galloway and Mashona beef cattle are raised on pasture with hay available in the field. They are fed 15% pellets each day to keep them friendly and for additional nutrition. We offer beef for sale several times a year, by whole, half or quarter but currently it is difficult to obtain a slaughter date. We also sell young steers for adventuresome homesteaders who want to process their own meat. Pure Mashona, Belted Galloway and crosses for breeding are also offered for sale. Our eggs are from various heritage breeds of chickens. We have three separate goat herds. They are predominately Savanna crossed on Spanish, Kiko or Alpine. We sell the kids at weaning time. Kids are sold for future breeding or for meat or just for pets to clear brush or grass at your home. In 2022, we added Meishan Pigs because their meat is different: flavorful red meat. Our pigs are fed pellets, fruit and veggies daily. They do not have a lot of fat and are butchered at 150-175 pounds. We also have goat skulls with horns. All cattle are polled so no horns.
