Olive Living

We are currently not active. As part of the holistic nature of Montessori the Adolescents have added a greenhouse and chickens. They are trying their hand at growing and are having farm stands throughout the year. We are an organic buying cooperative with a unique twist. The Organic Buying Club Co-operative, Olive Living, L3C was conceived as part of the adolescent program at Joliet Montessori School in Crest Hill, Illinois. We created a skeleton business and work with the Adolescents to bring a real world business to the classroom. Along with their director we deliver organic produce, dairy, beef, spices, and dry goods while learning about Accounting, Marketing, Technology, Procurement, Receiving, and Distribution. As part of the real-life experience, we are collecting Sales Tax as required by the State of Illinois.
