We raise Heritage Breed livestock, including Tunis Sheep and Suffolk-Punch draft horses. We also maintain a small flock of free range chickens for eggs. Though our farm is not certified organic, we only feed pure organic feed to our happy hens! Our goal is to preserve many of the old types of farm stock for genetic diversity and for traits such as hardiness, longevity and good pasturing abilities. Tunis are known for their delicious meat and are listed on the Ark of Taste, Slow Food USA.
We sell Tunis breeding stock, whole lambs for butchering, wool fleeces as well as natural and dyed wool roving. The roving is processed professionally at 1 of the 2 historic Woolen Mills here in Michigan and we usually have about 15 different colors to choose from. Some of our wool is also processed into batting in a variety of sizes which make wonderful quilts.
