Pasture Raised Humane Duck Eggs
Feed: Mix of commercial layer, oyster shell, organic wheat, all the grass and bugs the girls can find.
Safety: The girls are free to roam our farm during the day, the help of "Gracie" the guard goose. At night they are safety locked up in their huge duck house. If I am unable to be with them all day I will sometimes use the help of an 200 ft electric netting fence to ensure so stray dogs or other animals get to them.
Health: All ducks are hormone and steroid free. They are never fed medicated food. If one does fall ill, she is appropriately treated and quarantined until she can return to the flock. I use the help of a local veterinarian who makes farm visits. I also maintain strict Bio-Security practices, which means the equipment is properly cleaned between uses, and there are no outside visitors.
