I have been farming since 2013, starting with a little community garden plot and working for a master gardener in Whitewater, Wi. From that small beginning, PattiProduce continues to evolve with each season. We have partnered with several other farmers in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan to bring our customers are larger variety of fruits and veggies than are usually available in most CSAs. These include apples in the fall, cranberries for the holidays and eggs throughout the year.
After the season in 2014, we decided to offer our services throughout the year by taking advantage of Chicago's wholesale market to provide the freshest fruits and vegetables available in every season. This ensures that you always have fresh, organic produce delivered to your home, which makes healthy eating fun, easy and convenient!
Several times throughout the year, we have "themed" deliveries which offer items of produce that you may not be well acquainted with. Mexican day, Oriental day, Southern day and "Lots of Fruit" day are huge hits with our customers. They keep eating healthy interesting, improve your cooking skills and offer exposure to different cultures, all in the privacy of your own home!
One typical delivery fills a large, brown, paper grocery bag to overflowing. Every package (with the exception of the "theme" deliveries) will include, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, another green, carrots, onions, potatoes, beans, two other vegetables, an herb and a special, seasonal treat - oh, and one dozen, organic eggs will be included, free of charge, each month. Don't particularly like a certain veggie? Just let us know. We are happy to make substitutions and will gladly "customize" your package. Our aim is for you to be happy AND healthy!
Also, we will deliver your order to your home or office, free of charge (Chicago and surrounding suburbs - please contact us for exact locations).
For 2016, we are greatly expanding our farms. I'm sure that you have noticed the high price of lettuce. Well we intend to grow more varieties and more of your old favorites starting in early spring (if it stays as warm as it has been). Our plan is for you to never have to go veggie shopping again!
And of course, we will have our favorites back including many varieties of heirloom tomatoes, four varieties of beets, rainbow Swiss chard, watermelon in the summer and pumpkins in the fall.
We look forward to many new customers this year! Remember, we are always looking to make this a convenient and hassle free experience - please don't hesitate to let us know how we can accomplish this. Please visit our website for more info or to contact me, Patti, directly with any questions. Thank you!
