We are a small, local, family farm, priding ourselves in raising USDA inspected beef for you, humanely and naturally. Come on out to our farm and see for yourself! We sell by the whole, half, split half and occasionally, eighths. We are pleased to offer our customers who purchase a whole cow, a 10% discount on the cost of meat. So get some family and friends in on the purchase with you. We stay competitive by watching the market rates for beef. Currently the price, per hanging weight of meat, is $3.05 per pound. Hanging weight, on a whole cow, has been averaging between 650 and 700 pounds. You will also pay your own processing fees at the time you pick up your meat. Processing on a split half, otherwise known as a quarter, is usually about $120. You can figure out your approximate total cost from this, depending on your order size. Our Angus, Angus cross, and Hereford cows are content, slowly and lovingly raised, WITHOUT chemicals or growth hormones. They have a significantly grass fed and free choice hay diet, with just enough corn to achieve the flavor and marbling our customers desire. And, of course, an occasional apple as they see fit! :0) Rest assured, these are not tough, old, "cull" cattle. We butcher when they are young. We are pleased to work with a state of the art processing facility. They pride themselves in being extremely clean, professional, and courteous. They dry age your beef for 10-14 days, then offer vacuum sealed packaging for YOUR very own cut selections (except for eighths, they are standard packed). We do NOT require a deposit when you place your order. We do business the old fashioned way, we take people for their word. Payment is due at time of pickup. We accept cash, check, debit, and credit card payment (there is a 4% fee for using debit and credit, however) for your convenience. References are available. Happy customers are our best sellers!
