Grass-fed beef from bulls (not steers). Also limited supply of goats and sheep. We have pastured pork. 236+ year old farm which used to raise tobacco and later row crops. Now we use permaculture principles to holistically manage the soil, soil microbes, the grasses, and beef, sheep, pigs, and goats on a high density rotational grazing program that maximizes topsoil growth and soil productivity. Our current product is high-testosterone bull beef, where the animals have free choice access to about 20 different loose minerals. The animals balance their own bodies and, in turn, balance the soil on which they graze in a symbiotic relationship between them, the grasses, and the soil microbes. Our meats exceed the healthiness and quality of organic labeling requirements. No chemicals, petroleum fertilizers, hormones, de-wormers, anti-biotics, medicines, pesticides, herbicides, or artificial inputs are used on the cattle.
