The Vegetable/Localvore Share combines a weekly selection of seasonal organic vegetables from Pete's Greens with an assortment of localvor products from our favorite nearby food growers and producers. Our Spring Share begins with root storage crops, fresh sprouts and frozen items. In late March, we add in lots of new grown from our greenhouses. By the end of the Spring Share, our members are enjoying greens, eggplant, cucumber, sweet salad turnips, pac choi and more. Summer shareholders should expect salad greens every week, heirloom tomatoes, artichokes, fennel, onions, garlic, eggplant, etc. as well as prepared and preserved foods from Pete's Greens fields like pesto, fresh-frozen salsa, sauerkraut and soup, dried beans, yogurt, cream, cornmeal, oats, mushrooms and more all from farms and producers within 100 miles of us. The Localvore share also includes fresh bread, artisan cheese from Vermont cheesemakers, butter, yogurt, cream, etc. Meat shareholders will receive a monthly delivery of local meat, poultry and seafood.
