Summer Place Pecan Farm

Summer Place Pecan Farm produces the finest pecans in the Verde Valley. The farm was started by Richard Tinlin in 1977 when he planted 1400 trees along the Verde River. Today the farm has mature trees producing delicious golden pecans. We have no pastured animals in our groves. Visitors can visit the farm's store to purchase nuts in the shell or shelled. We also carry our famous cinnamon and Cajun flavored pecans that keep customers coming back for more. We ship anywhere. We also sell pecan wood from our trees. Pecans are in the hickory family and give off a mild hickory aroma. Impromptu tours give visitors a guided walk through the grove. Visitors given a tour of the farm in December and January can see the harvesting and processing equipment. Scheduled groups welcomed. The nuts are featured proudly at the Pecans, Wine and Antique Festival the third weekend of February each year held in Camp Verde, Az. Richard has won numerous blue ribbons for his nuts at their annual judging.
