Pierce County created the Farming Assistance, Revitalization and Marketing (FARM) program in 2006 to help county farmers gain better access to local markets.
The FARM Program is guided by the Pierce County FARM Board and staffed by the Pierce County "Farmbudsman" and WSU Ag agents. The FARM Board consists of 7 citizens (of which at least 5 are farmers) and representatives of county government, WSU Extension and Pierce Conservation District. We welcome opportunities to partner with organizations supporting local agriculture and encourage all citizens to preserve farmland and live well by BUYING LOCAL!!
