We started a flock of grass fed Katahdin hair sheep in 2009. We became interested in grass fed meats due to personal health concerns & began raising lamb for our personal use. We've now grown to the place where we have several lambs to market. Grass fed Katahdin hair sheep produce a very lean meat with a very mild flavor, distinct from wool sheep breeds.
We raise our own lambs on pasture that has not been chemically treated,
and rotate paddocks frequently. This gives the lambs fresh forage, diminished chance of parasite problems, and keeps the pastures healthier. We are not certified organic, but follow organic practices as much as possible.
