Prater Show Pigs

We are a fifth generation family farm located in McMinnville, Tennessee. We are dedicated to producing pigs that are suitable for show pigs, breeding stock and to raise for meat. The herd is mainly pure Chester White and Chester White cross sows. We use an Exotic terminal style boar. The genetics for our sows and boars have been carefully selected for not only structurely soundness, but productivity. These animals are grain fed. We feed no garbage or food by-products. We gestate our sows outside and farrow inside. Pigs are weaned and isolated to a climate controled nursery. We sell a healthy, parasite free pig that can meet the needs of the consumer. We do use a minimal amount of vaccines. These are mostly for the prevention of respiratory and lepto problems. We are very conscious of withdrawl requirements. Our mission is to produce a safe food source for families that want to raise their own pork.
